After an eventful Gamescom, Team Jade has announced that Delta Force got a nice new name change, alongside some fantastic early access news. Delta Force is getting an early access period. What is surprising is that the game is getting an early access release in 2024, currently slated for a Q4 release. Here’s what we know about the Delta Force Early Access release.

Delta Force Early Access release date prediction

As announced via Team Jade, the Delta Force Early Access is currently slated for a Q4 2024 release window. That means we can expect the game from anywhere between October 1 – December 31. The news broke via a Gamescom trailer, alongside a follow-up post on X.

However, we have a few clues about when it could be in that date range. As it stands, Delta Force is currently due to release a demo as part of the Steam Next Fest. This runs from October 14-21. During that time, the game is essentially treated like a week-long open beta. We are unsure what content will differ from the current closed tests. Yet, the game will have a one-week test period for many players to get involved.

With the conclusion of the Steam Next Fest, the game hibernates for some time. It has become a tactic of Chinese developers to market a game via demos and beta windows. They aim to amass followers, discord members, and Steam wishlist for a while, before dropping a large demo on teh Steam Next Fest. Once Human, a game via NetEase did a similar strategy, and, within one month of the demo ending, Once Human had launched.

This puts the Early Access date for Delta Force likely around November 14th as an early suggestion.  This competes with other large game titles like Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Path of Exile 2 early access and near the Stalker 2 release date. It is of course a big holiday period, so, could make sense.

December is also light on games as they often are. Dropping Delta Force in December could be a big win for them to target that post-American holiday and pre-Christmas lull period often seen in videogame releases.
