Despite a strong and stable of player numbers on launch, Team Jade’s Delta Force has suffered from a host of technical issues in its current state.

Alongside working on “at least 8 new maps in the first year”, Team Jade has confirmed that it’s working non-stop on huge patches for the game before the Christmas break.

Delta Force devs working at “full speed” on patches

In a statement to VideoGamer, Team Jade confirmed that they are working “full speed” on highly-requested improvements and fixes following the game’s mixed reception on launch.

Delta Force, which currently sits at a ‘mixed‘ user score on Steam, launched on December 4 to a peak of more than 118,000 players. Encouragingly, while that number has dropped ever so slightly, the free-to-play team-based shooter still commands impressive 90,000 player-count peaks during its busiest hours.

That being said, whilst there is a plethora of positive reviews, there are certain aspects of Delta Force that are coming under fire from the community. For one, some players have encountered issues anti-cheat software not uninstalling correctly, which has since been fixed, as well as server issues resulting in high amounts of ping, gameplay bugs and a crowded UI promoting in-game items.

Elsewhere, some players claim they have already uninstalled the game as a result of XP caps, while others cite that cheaters are still ominpresent despite the developer’s strong stance against cheating players.

In a statement sent to VideoGamer, an official spokesperson for Delta Force said: “We’re thrilled to see players flocking to our game every day and spending hours enjoying it on average. We’ve also heard a lot from our incredible community, and the team is working at full speed to roll out new content, improvements, and fixes.”

Alongside huge patches and content additions, Team Jade is also working on multiple ports of the game for Xbox, PlayStation and mobile, as well as a single-player focused Black Hawk Down campaign set to launch in January 2025.
