In development at The Code Monkeys (Shrek Treasure Hunt and Charlotte’s Web), Decathlete from Ghostlight is set to explode out of the blocks in spring 2008.
The game will offer each of the ten disciplines found in the decathlon event, with players able to compete in single-player or against up to three other competitors in the game’s wireless multiplayer mode.
Players will be rewarded for winning events, unlocking famous stadiums and bonus events. There’ll also be full character customisation, offering facial features, skin type and body stature.
The game’s release will hope to ride on the hype of the upcoming 2008 summer Olympic games in Beijing, and Ghostlight hopes Decathlete will form a strong foundation for a new leading athletics franchise.
