Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut is heading to PC via Steam Greenlight, Rising Star Games has announced.

Deadly Premonition follows FBI special agent Francis York Morgan as he investigates the murder of a young woman in the town of Greenvale.

“It’s true that Rising Star Games has published a few PC games in the past but, since this is our first release on Steam, we wanted to make it a big one and bring you something special!” wrote Rising Star. “And let’s face it, nothing gets bigger than the gaming phenomenon that is Deadly Premonition!”

The publisher added: “We’re excited about the idea of bringing you an enhanced version of the already-improved Director’s Cut, but to do that – as with any Greenlight project – we need your help. So, if you want to solve the mystery of the Raincoat Killer on PC in the near future, please give us your support and help us make one of the biggest cult hits of the decade a reality on Steam very soon!”

The updated Director’s Cut promises a number of new features, including HD graphics (didn’t the original have this?), an updated control system, a brand new scenario from the game’s director Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, and DLC to extend the game beyond the main story.
