Dead Rising 3 SmartGlass support will offer exclusive missions for those who use the functionality Capcom has told VideoGamer.com.
Josh Bridge, executive producer at Capcom Vancouver, explained at an Xbox One E3 showcase event that accessing and completing these missions would also unlock more in-game app assists, such as the airstrike seen in the E3 demo.
Although it’s quite the departure from what previous iterations have offered, Bridge was keen to highlight that while the world is incredibly populated with zombies, the developer still wanted to find ways to give the player space and a bit of breathing room.
