UPDATE: Microsoft has provided an update on the content included in today’s patch, confirming that it includes tomorrow’s Operation Broken Eagle DLC and a host of “performance and stability upgrades”.

ORIGINAL REPORT: A new title update for Dead Rising 3 has rolled out – coming in at a whopping 13GB.

Though Capcom has yet to release details on the content and fixes included in the update, some have speculated that it may include some of the game’s future DLC, hence the mammoth download size.

The first DLC, Operation Eagle, launches tomorrow.

But while the game may force users to download the 13GB update, it may not actually take up all that much space once downloaded. According to one Reddit user, the update only takes up an additional 1.6GB of space once fully installed.

An initial installation of Dead Rising 3 comes in at 23.2GB, which the 13GB patch reportedly bumps up to 24.8GB once installed.

VideoGamer.com has contacted Capcom to try and get a better idea of what the update contains.
