Dead By Daylight recently held its November 2025 community stream. At the end of the stream, BeHaviour Interactive community manager Eric Pope teased that the January Chapter will be revealed soon. This Chapter was originally intended to release in November, and fans are hoping it’s a sequel to the Stranger Things DLC that was released in 2019 before getting removed and returning in 2023.
Unwilling to announce the January Chapter right now, Eric Pope says fans “shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to find out what it is”. Many fans are hoping it’s Stranger Things as the hit Netflix series is celebrating its final season. There are no leaks for Stranger Things, but a November release would have perfectly aligned with the series’ ending.
The Stranger Things DLC has also been on sale across all platforms for the first time since returning to Dead By Daylight after its license expired. This doesn’t confirm anything, but it’s potentially another clue.
Unfortunately, there’s no hint as to when the announcement will be delivered. If it is Stranger Things, November 26 would be appropriate as that’s the premiere date for Season 5. There’s also the Game Awards on December 11, and BeHaviour has announced chapters at Geoff Keighley events before, with the reveal of Nicolas Cage as a Survivor at Summer Game Fest.
Dead By Daylight January Chapter possibilities besides Stranger Things
Most Dead By Daylight fans are hoping for Stranger Things, but there are other potential licenses for the January Chapter. A leaker who shared concept art of a muscle queen Survivor as well as the possibly cancelled March 2026 Survivor, claims that Predator is “most likely” the Chapter for January. Dvveet also reports that Predator is coming, but they don’t know if it’s “January or not”.
Predator Badlands was released on November 6. Seeing as we know the January Chapter was originally intended for November, Predator would have been just as timely as Stranger Things Season 5.
Besides Predator and Stranger Things, former leaker Ruthless claimed the January Chapter is a third collaboration with Capcom starring Ethan and Rose Winters against Jack from Resident Evil 7. BeHaviour has seemingly shut down the idea of Resident Evil Chapter 3, but it remains a possibility. There are also theories about Danganronpa because it celebrates its 15th anniversary on November 29.
