The Dead By Daylight Chapter 35 PTB was supposed to be out on February 18th, but BeHaviour Interactive confirmed it has been delayed. While the delay is quite lengthy, it’s ultimately fine thanks to the updates promised plus the fact 2v8 is available right now and a popular LTM is soon returning. We still don’t know the identity of the licensed killer, but a newly discovered DBD Easter Egg possibly confirms Chapter 35 killer leaks.

Dead By Daylight Easter Egg possibly confirms Tokyo Ghoul killer

Leaks claim the Dead By Daylight Chapter 35 killer is Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul. This is by no means official, and it hasn’t been shared on the DBDLeaks Discord, but it’s a claim from multiple sources, with powers involving Tenatcles possibly leaked, too.

We won’t find out who the killer is until March thanks to BeHaviour’s delay for the PTB. While we will have to wait and see who the licensed paragraph rogue is, it’s possible Tokyo Ghoul has been confirmed in a newly discovered DBD Easter Egg.

This Easter Egg has been shared on the Dead By Daylight subreddit, and it was initially discovered by YouTuber Fricking Nick. The Easter Egg is on Ormond Lake Mine, and “you have to open the exit gates” for a weird message to play on the radio in the room that’s on the side of the exit gates.

The message is hard to fully hear, but it seems to repeat “ghouls”. Naturally, this has resulted in people speculating that it is alluding to Tokyo Ghoul for Chapter 35. However, there is the possibility it is alluding to another licensed IP that involves ghouls, or it could not be related to Chapter 35 at all.

One of the top replies on Reddit points out that “there’s also a movie called ‘The Ghouls Lament’ in Greenville Square”. This is possibly another Easter Egg alluding to Tokyo Ghoul for Chapter 35, especially with fans convinced All Things Wicked has secretly hinted at new chapters. This is because voice lines for The Unknown seemingly alluded to DnD, Tomb Raider, and The Houndmaster with the quotes, “I’ve lived in dungeons long forgotten,” “prepare for the expedition,” and “have you seen my dog”.

There are other voice lines for The Unknown that possibly allude to Tokyo Ghoul, too. One Reddit user says, “Hunger, intolerable hunger,” possibly relates to how “The ghouls in Tokyo ghoul can only eat human flesh and go feral if they get too hungry”. There’s also the voice line, “Tonight, the world at my feet,” which is said to be very close to “tonight I’ll have the world at my feet” in one the TG theme songs.

Remember that right now Tokyo Ghoul is only a leak rather than anything official. It would be cool if it is Tokyo Ghoul because of all these possible connections from the Ormond Lake Mine Easter Egg to the Unknown’s voice lines, but we will just have to wait to find out.
