July has been a fantastic month for Dead By Daylight. We’ve just been treated to the full release of The Walking Dead Chapter starring Rick Grimes and Michonne, and it’s the perfect way to end a stellar month. Fortunately, there’s plenty for DBD fans to anticipate in September, too, especially following BeHaviour’s latest livestream. Here you will find the Dead By Daylight August 2025 roadmap so far including how to get 2.5 million Bloodpoints, new skins including Tomb Raider, the return of 2v8 mode, and an expected PTB.

Dead By Daylight August 2025 roadmap

Below is the Dead By Daylight August 2025 roadmap so far:

  • 2.5M Bloodpoints – available now until Aug 29th
  • Free character trials – Jul 29th – Aug 5th
    • The Hag
    • Elodie Rakoto
  • New Tomb Raider skins – Aug 5th
  • Counter Culture skins collection – Aug 12th
    • David King
    • Zarina Kassir
    • The Trickster
    • Nea Karlsson
  • Party Hard skins collection – Aug 19th
    • The Clown
    • The Good Guy
    • Claudette Morel
    • Dwight Fairfield
  • 2v8 return w/ three new maps – Aug 19th – Sep 2nd
    • Greenville Square
    • Shattered Square
    • Treatment Theatre
  • Expected PTB – Aug 19th/26th

Starting with 2.5M Bloodpoints, these are available now. BeHaviour says they are compensation via an in-game message that reads, “With the recent changes to maps and key items in the game, some add-ons have been retired and can no longer be used”. The Bloodpoints are offered as compensation for the inconvenience, and you have until 11AM ET on August 29th to claim from your inbox.

Free character trials are also available for The Hag and Elodie Rokoto until August 5th, and then we will be treated to two new attires for Lara Croft. One of the new skins is the unified classic outfit for the in-development Tomb Raider 12, previously seen in all of Lara’s other crossovers such as Call of Duty. BeHaviour also confirmed during the livestream that Lara is not leaving the fog, debunking dubious rumors.

After Tomb Raider, we then have some Counter Culture skins on August 12th, followed by Party Hard skins a week later on August 19th. Accompanying the Party Hard skins is the return of 2v8 mode. There’s no new killers, but there is three new maps with Greenville Square, Shattered Square, and Treatment Theatre.

Lastly, although unconfirmed, it’s expected that we will get a PTB for Chapter 37 set to release in September. Public-test builds typically arrive three-to-four weeks after the release of new chapters, as previously seen with the FNAF PTB occurring on May 28th before the full release on June 17th, and then The Walking Dead PTB happening on July 8th before the full release on July 29th.

As for Chapter 37, three weeks after The Walking Dead places it on August 19th. Because this is the date 2v8 returns, it’s possible the PTB could come out on August 26th instead, or BeHaviour might save the PTB for when 2v8 ends on September 2nd. We will have to wait and see.

All we know about Chapter 37 so far is that it has an original killer and survivor based on Asian folklore. DBD sleuths thought they had uncovered a Spider-Woman as the Killer, but this was seemingly debunked by Eric Pope.
