THQ Nordic has announced that paint-lobbing platformer de Blob is coming out for Nintendo Switch on June 26.

It's handy timing too, as de Blob originally launched on another Nintendo console, the Wii, back in 2008. The colourful title also showed up on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One just last year, so it's obviously got some staying power.

The Switch version will see both a digital and physical launch, though it appears it'll carry a slightly higher price tag than the PS4 and Xbox One editions.

In case you missed out on it first (or second) time around, de Blob sees the roly-poly eponymous hero attempting to liberate Chroma City, which has been invaded by the nefarious INKT Corporation.

de Blob goes about this by literally painting the town red…and yellow, blue, orange, green, and whatever else tickles your fancy. Touching buildings and other objects is all you need to do to achieve this, although players will still have to tackle various missions in between their colourful antics, which lets you rake in points to spend on opening up new areas.
