THQ has confirmed that a sequel to quirky Wii platform paint ’em up, de Blob, will be released during its fiscal year 2011 – April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011.
“Our de Blob franchise will be back again in fiscal 2011,” said THQ CEO and president Brian Farrell during an overnight earnings call. “We successfully launched this highly rated owned franchise in fiscal 2009 to broad critical acclaim.”
de Blob came as a bit of a surprise back in 2008, providing good fun for both casual and the more hardcore gamer crowd.
