DayZ developers Dean Hall and Brian Hicks have revealed that they are working on an upcoming, “massive” new survival game (via PCGamer).
Super excited to announce today is the FIRST DAY that I am back working with the amazing @Hicks_206. He has joined @rocketwerkz as our Executive Producer on our massive (unannounced) survival game. We are about to start a play test! Incredible to be back working with you again!

Hall is the creator of the original Arma 2 mod. He was then recruited to Bohemia Interactive to develop the independenti title, and afterwards, departed the company to found his own studio. Rocketwerkz is known for the station construction sim Stationeers and virtual reality game Out of Ammo. Hicks, former creative director of DayZ, has now joined Rocketwerkz as an executive producer on this new unannounced survival game.
The studio is also seeking game developers to fulfil roles like props and environments artists and programmers to establish a “new AAA studio.” We’ll keep you updated as and when we get news about this upcoming game.
