Sony Bend has announced that it will roll out fresh content for Days Gone this June, and what's more, it'll be totally free to boot.

The PlayStation 4-exclusive post-pandemic actioner will receive a number of new challenges, including an additional difficulty setting known as Survival. This tasks players with completing Days Gone without perks such as Fast Travel, survival vision, and immersive HUD features such as indicators and game map.

Bend says these changes have been 'designed to further immerse players and ratchet up the tension to make this the definitive survival experience.'

In addition to the new difficulty, every week beginning in June will see a new Bike, Combat, or Horde challenge rolled out for players to tackle. Not much info is available on these right now, but they'll apparently take some of Days Gone's key gameplay elements and put a unique spin on them, earning you new items and rewards in the process.

Days Gone is due out on April 26, and you can check out the latest trailer here.
