Drawn to Death creator The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency has announced that it’s closing its doors. Co-founder David Jaffe confirmed the news in a post on Twitter following a number of major layoffs at the studio.
Interestingly, a separate post by Jaffe revealed that the team was busy prototyping an Iron Man game for PSVR, although at the time the project wasn’t even pitched to Marvel Studios.
As a result of the developer’s closure, Jaffe confirmed he’s giving away a number of video game props for free — including a rather lovely looking God of War statue — to anyone in the Southern California region who is interested.
Jaffe founded Bartlet Jones with Nick Kononelos back in 2016 following the closure of his previous studio, Eat Sleep Play. The developer is probably best known for creating Sony’s PlayStation-exclusive God of War franchise, which has gone on to become a multi-million selling juggernaut.
Right now it’s unknown what Jaffe will be up to next, but we wish him and those affected by Bartlet Jones’ closure all the best.
Any So Cal gamers interested in owning some gaming history? Sadly we are shutting down our Bartlet Jones offices and there’s some great props that we’re trying to unload to folks who are into such things. Ex: Sweet Tooth’s machete we used in TM2012 movies; Sweet Chick’s mask, etc.
