God of War maestro David Jaffe has confirmed that his development studio, The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency, has been struck by a series of layoffs. The news comes on the back of the cancellation of an unnamed project at the Drawn to Death developer.

Writing on Twitter, Jaffe confirmed that the ‘majority’ of working staff at the studio’s gaming division have found themselves out of a job. He promised that more news would follow but was unable to comment any further regarding the nature of the cancelled game.

Jaffe previously worked at Sony America where he directed the critically acclaimed God of War and its sequel, before establishing his own studio in the shape of Eat Sleep Play in 2007. Here, he churned out a couple of mobile titles and a new Twisted Metal for PS4, before founding The Barlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency in late 2016.Â
