Darkspore, the RPG spin-off from Will Wright’s Spore, will miss its planned April 1 release after Maxis decided it needed additional time to incorporated player feedback from the recent beta.

The game will now make its way to Europe beginning April 28.

“We’ve received really positive feedback about the game, as well as some suggestions of things you’d like to see,” explained a statement on the game’s official website. “We’re really close, but in order to make the best game possible, the team has decided to take additional time to incorporate more of your feedback.”

Maxis also confirmed that additional closed beta tests are on the way, along with an open beta in April.
