Bandai Namco Games has announced that Dark Souls Remastered is due out for Nintendo Switch on October 19.

The spruced up version of the acclaimed death simulator will launch on Ninty's console alongside the Solaire of Astora amiibo. As you may recall, the Switch version was delayed not long before it was due to release alongside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions back in May.

Dark Souls Remastered is an updated version of 2011's dungeon crawler, itself a spiritual successor to 2009's cult classic Demon's Souls.

The Switch version is obviously far prettier than the PS3 or Xbox 360 release of the game, and will run at 1080p when the system is docked and 720p when on the go. The frame rate however runs at 30fps, which is down on the buttery-smooth 60fps seen in the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
