Dark Souls 3 was the UK’s top-selling physical game last month, according to a report by MCV, beating out new release rivals Ratchet & Clank, DiRT Rally and Quantum Break.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, however, was reportedly the UK’s top-selling digital game, in part due to the arrival of its second DLC pack ‘Eclipse’.
Nevertheless, From Software’s action-RPG helped contribute to 1 million boxed video game sales throughout the month, generating £30.8m in revenue. The game is said to have shipped over 3 million copies worldwide, although UK-specific sales have not been confirmed.
Ratchet & Clank appears to have done particularly well, however, especially given that it released three weeks into the month on April 22. Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break, meanwhile, which released two weeks earlier on April 5, finished at No.5.
