FromSoftware is reportedly chiselling away on a Nintendo Switch version of critically acclaimed action-RPG Dark Souls 2, according to industry tipster 'LeakyPandy.'

Writing on Twitter, the insider noted that Dark Souls Remastered is being used as a springboard of sorts for the Switch version of the hard-as-nails dungeon crawler. Despite this, there's no word yet on whether Dark Souls 3 will be heading to Ninty's console.

Dark Souls Remastered is coming to the hybrid platform in October, following on from the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions earlier this year.

To be fair, it would make sense that all three games end up on the Switch, as it's proven more than capable of delivering the goods on various third-party outings.

Recently, Bandai Namco Games announced a Dark Souls Trilogy bundle for PS4 and Xbox One, though it won't be released in Europe.

FromSoftware is currently busy working on its next project, the ninja-flavoured Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
