Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is said to be in talks to star as Rockstar Games co-founder Sam Houser in the BBC’s film drama Grand Theft Auto, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will dramatise the battle between Houser and Miami lawyer Jack Thompson who fought to ban Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto because of its glorification of violence. Casting details for Thompson have not been discussed.

British helmer Owen Harris, who’s been in charge of an episode of Black Mirror, super heroes show Misfits and recently completed his first feature, will direct the drama for BBC Films.

The project, based on David Kushner’s book Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto, will begin shooting on April 20.
