Izanagi Games has announced an “authentic full motion video game” titled Death Come True, developed by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka (via Siliconera).
Is this a movie or a game? This is the official Twitter for Death Come True, a full motion video game written and directed by Kazutaka Kodaka, creator of the Danganronpa series. We will be revealing the lead actor for the game after 24 hours! https://t.co/KSCSETUIG6 #DCT pic.twitter.com/oJKKMfLtm0

The teaser website shows a roster of six characters with their faces in shadow, and one character dressed in what appears to be rags and a gas mask. This is fine. There is a countdown set to terminate on December 10 at 8.00am GMT, which will reveal the lead actor and assumedly information about the game. “Is this a movie? Or a game? A story that begins by your choices,” the site read.
It all sounds very like Kodaka’s magnum opus Danganronpa, down to the characters with eclectic styles and the determinant decisions that will likely lead to a sticky end. Kodaka will write and direct, with Death March Club’s Shinsuke Umeda producing the game, and Shunsuke Kamata acting as its creative director.
We don’t know when the game will release nor for which platforms, but we’ll find out in due course.
