Cyberpunk 2077, the long awaited open-world RPG from The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt RED, will finally come out of hibernation at E3 2018 with a new trailer and behind-closed-doors demo.

That’s at least according to a translation (via PC Gamer) of Polish website GRY Online, which, on the backing of two independent sources, ‘strongly believes’ the highly anticipated title will show its face at the Los Angeles-based games convention in June.

Nothing official has been confirmed yet, but it’s probably worth remembering that Cyberpunk 2077’s Twitter sprung to life last week after remaining comatose for the best part of four years. If tweeting a single word isn’t an indication that something is in the pipeline, then we don’t know what is.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been a long time coming, having originally been announced way back in 2012. The project is in development for the PC, although PS4 and Xbox One have also been listed as ‘probable’ formats.

Not much is known about the game at present, although rumblings indicate a third-person and first-person viewpoint plus both single-player and multiplayer offerings. We’re also promised a sprawling open-world metropolis to explore, as well as being able to muck about with a fancy digital recording device known as the Braindance.Â
