The game had been in an extended beta but is now officially available from the Xbox Game Store.

Warface features a 5-soldier Co-op Mode and competitive 16-player Versus Mode. Players are offered the choice of four classes: Rifleman, Sniper, Medic and Engineer.

Crytek promises regular content updates, including daily co-operative campaign missions, and a supply of new maps, weaponry and more.

As with Wargaming's World of Tanks, players require an Xbox Live Gold membership to access the game.
