Nintendo’s newest Direct has come and gone. While we sadly didn’t get any news about a port of Red Dead Redemption 2 expected to coincide with a current-gen upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the showcase was still a decent showing of third-party support for the Switch 2. One of the biggest announcements included was the release date for Cronos The New Dawn, and leaks suggest there will also be an early access bonus.

Cronos The New Dawn release date and early access leak

During the Nintendo Direct, it was confirmed that Cronos The New Dawn is coming out on September 5th. It will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

For those not in the know, the game is an original horror experience from Bloober Team, the folks responsible for the incredible Silent Hill 2 Remake. Bloober Team are officially working on a remake of Silent Hill 1, but this is their escape from the Silent Hill series.

The game is a third-person survival horror experience in a sci-fi setting. It has been heavily compared to Dead Space, and it looks fantastic.

The September 5th release date was leaked by True Achievements, and they also leaked a 48-hours early access bonus. This early access bonus hasn’t been confirmed as of writing, but it’s likely accurate seeing as True Achievements were spot-on with the release date.

This means you should be able to play from September 3rd if you’re especially eager to step foot into Bloober Team’s latest hellhole. As of writing, the game isn’t available to pre-order as all you can do on digital stores is wishlist. Hopefully pre-orders open soon seeing as the release date has just been confirmed and is only just over a month away.

In other horror gaming news, Silent Hill F devs have stated they originally wanted the game set in the real-life Silent Hill.
