This week sees the release of Crime Boss: Rockay City – a new heist FPS from INGAME Studios and 505 Games that includes a few familiar faces for fans of 90s pop culture icons.

The game plays like out with a series of heists – think Payday: The Heist – as you and a crew take on a series of increasingly risky jobs for a big reward.

With a cast including Michael Madsen, Chuck Norris and even Vanilla Ice – it got a lot of attention when the game was revealed at The Game Awards late last year.

But when will you be able to play it? Well, there’s not long now – but we have the answer right here.

Crime Boss: Rockay City release date

Crime Boss: Rockay City will release first on PC on Tuesday, March 28 2023. It’ll be an Epic Games Store exclusive on launch.

According to a recently published financial report for Digital Bros (505’s parent company) posted earlier this month, this exclusivity will last at least year – so it’ll be June 2024 before it comes to Steam.

Crime Boss: Rockay City PlayStation and Xbox release date

The game is also set to come to consoles too – specifically the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. At the time of writing, no official date for these versions has been announced outside of Summer 2023.

However, in the same financial report mentioned earlier, those versions should be with us by June 2023. Hopefully we’ll get a more specific date closer to that version’s release.

Crime Boss: Rockay City’s single player campaign will see players take on the role of Travis Baker – played by Michael Madsen. He’s a crime boss looking to take over the titular Rockay City through a series of high-stakes heists.

However, trying to stop him is Sheriff Norris – played by the one and only Chuck Norris. As well as Norris to contend with, Baker also has to get the jump on rival crime bosses (played by Danny Trejo and Vanilla Ice).

Baker’s got some back-up though in the form of his team of planners, who include characters played by Danny Glover, Michael Rooker and Kim Basinger.

It’s quite the star studded cast – and we don’t have long before we see if the gameplay is equally as attention-grabbing.
