Don’t expect to see anything new on Xbox One exclusives Crackdown and Scalebound at E3 next week, with updates on the two games instead being saved for Gamescom.

Quantum Break won’t be there either, as reported earlier this week.

According to Microsoft, the three games simply couldn’t fit into its packed E3 schedule, with the platform holder instead set to focus on Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

An Xbox One remaster of the original Gears of War is expected to be on display as well.

“E3 is just the beginning,” said Xbox chief Phil Spencer. “Over the next few weeks and months, we’ll be sharing many more of our plans for 2015 and beyond. Having a jam-packed lineup of games to show at E3 means that there simply isn’t enough time to give each of our upcoming titles its well-deserved time in the spotlight.

“We’ve decided to save some of our most eagerly-awaited future titles for gamescom in August. Rest assured that titles like Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound will be front and center at gamescom along with new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10.”

Microsoft E3 press conference begins at 5:30pm BST next Monday, June 15, with Gamescom set to begin 7 weeks later on August 5.
