Finish Line Games has announced that it’s absurdist sentient corn first-person puzzling adventure, with a Russian teddy bear companion, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September, 12 following its PC release in late 2016.

Maize gained quite the cult-following on its release, despite being on the receiving end of a generally mixed response critically. Fans of the game in particular seemed to enjoy the absurdist elements, the twisted humour and the unsettling tone throughout.

In the game the player has been tasked with investigating a corn farm, which so happens to have an abandoned science facility directly beneath it. This science facility is where two U.S. scientists have created sentient corn, the result of a terribly misinterpreted governmental directive. It already sounds beyond idiotic and laden with humour, and this could work in its favour.

Maize will be released on the PS4 and Xbox One on September 12. It came out on PC in 2016.
