Funcom has announced a new strategy game involving Conan the Barbarian called Conan Unconquered from developer Petroglyph Games.

According to Funcom, ‘you must build your stronghold and assemble an unconquerable army to survive the savage hordes of Hyboria. Wave after wave of increasingly more difficult enemies will rush at your gates and you will need to manage resources, research new technologies to advance your defenses, and recruit an ever-growing army if you are to save survive utter destruction.’ It can also be played solo, or with a pal in online co-op.

You can unlock legendary heroes in the game with special abilities, as you assemble your army of warriors, but be sure to clean up the cadavers of the fallen or their bodies can rot and ‘spread disease that can quickly turn the tide of war.’ Nasty carry on.

Petroglyph, the studio tasked with remastering Command & Conquer and Command & Conquer: Red Alert, is looking after development, and the game is scheduled to launch on PC in Q2 of next year.
