Comedy stars Will Arnett and Jason Bateman will produce original video content for Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty: Elite service.
The Hollywood Reporter states that Arnett will even be making an appearance at Activision’s lavish Call of Duty XP event to provide a public preview of the new videos.
“I consider myself a gamer,” said Arnett. He plays Call of Duty with members of the Infinity Ward team – presumably he prefers Modern Warfare 2 over Black Ops, then.
“When you look at the time spent gaming, versus other entertainment outlets whether it’s watching TV or watching movies; for me, I probably spend more time gaming,” Arnett added.
Bateman is currently starring in summer comedy ‘Horrible Bosses,’ which nobody in the office has actually seen. Both Bateman and Arnett starred in ill-fated sitcom Arrested Development, which is very good and something you should definitely watch.
Whether the videos will be available to everyone or just Call of Duty: Elite’s premium subscribers is currently unknown. How much it will actually cost to become one of Call of Duty: Elite’s premium subscribers is also currently unknown.
The Call of Duty XP event will be taking place in Los Angeles on September 2. It will be the first time Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer modes are detailed in public.
Call of Duty: Elite is currently in beta and will officially launch with Modern Warfare 3 on November 8.
