HMV is using the Nintendo 3DS’ Street Pass feature to let customers save money on 3DS games in store.
Anybody that uses Street Pass to digitally collect a Mii from HMV can look forward to a 10% discount on any 3DS game.
Street Pass is the feature that allows 3DS owners to swap digital versions of themselves – Miis – with another 3DS console within wireless range.
So, if you can’t quite afford the recently released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (which scored a magnificent 9/10 in Tom’s review), loiter about HMV with your 3DS on standby, and you can expect to save three British pounds and forty-nine pence on your purchase.
The deal is limited to certain stores, which can be found in list-form on HMV’s website.
