Codemasters has teased the first info on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of next year’s F1 2014, saying that it “can’t wait to show you what [it is] planning for the next game”.
“While I can’t give away any secrets, I can tell you we are cooking up a storm here at Codemasters and we can’t wait to show you what we are planning for the next game,” Codemasters’ Paul Jeal (Game Director) and Anthony Filice (Art Director) wrote on the Codies Blog while discussing the benefits next-gen consoles will bring to the racing franchise.
“Like I said before, our goal is to achieve the most realistic visuals possible, and with the next generation consoles offering us more speed and power, we will be in the best position we have ever been in, which will allow us to achieve the level of realism which will enhance the driving and emotional experience for the F1 player.”
With next month’s F1 2013 skipping a release on next-gen consoles, next year’s F1 title is expected to be the first released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The game is also expected to make the leap to 60FPS, making it twice as fast as the 30FPS current-gen versions.
F1 2013 releases on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 4.
