US midfielder Clint Dempsey has been revealed as the North American cover star for FIFA 15, joining international cover athlete Lionel Messi.
Dempsey will grace the cover of every version of FIFA 15, but the eagle-eyed amongst us should be able to spot one significant difference between the Xbox and PlayStation covers.

It’s been switched for the US international shirt on the PlayStation box.

“It’s an amazing opportunity in my career to be on the cover for FIFA 15, a game that has played a big role in growing the popularity of the sport in America,” said Dempsey. “To join the class of other elite athletes who have appeared on previous covers is very humbling and I am extremely grateful for this honor.”
The North American cover is the first localised box to be revealed following last week’s announcement of international star Messi, with additional territories to be announced in the coming weeks.
FIFA 15 launches in the UK on September 26.
