Fellow Traveller and Jump Over The Age have announced narrative space RPG Citizen Sleeper will arrive on Xbox, Switch and PC on May 5.

The game takes place on a ruined space station known as Erlin’s Eye. You play a Sleeper, who’s a digitised human consciousness in an artificial body. The bad news is, the corporation who owns your body kinda wants it back. You’ll have to explore the space station, meet its many denizens and earn your existence in this interstellar capitalist society.

Each cycle you’ll choose what you want to do, whether that be honest work in the yards, a bar shift or searching the markets for rare components. Maybe you’ll decide to hack the space system or uncover secrets or make or break alliances? Success is determined on dice rolls, skills and drives you’ll mould as you play. Basically, think Disco Elysium but set in space, and you’re on the right lines.

The station has a huge cast of characters you’ll get to meet including salvagers, engineers, hackers, bartenders and more. Each of these characters has their own history of why they came here, and you can choose to help as many or as few as you like. Ultimately your choices will decide whether you survive another day, or not. Eventually, you’re aiming to change your future and perhaps be free of your fate.
