NetEase, the Chinese operator of World of Warcraft, has seen a 39.8 per cent increase in yearly revenue.
The firm has also had a profit rise of 41.3 per cent to $128.2 million, along with revenues of $308.3 million, Gamasutra reports.
This increase comes despite the recent decline in subscribers, which have dropped to 10.3 million users. Blizzard had initially placed the blame on drops in the Asian market.
WoW’s Asian market had initially helped give the MMO a major boost in subscribers, particularly after the release of Cataclysm so it will be interesting to see how WoW’s subs fluctuate once their next expansion hits.
