Since its December 2024 release, Marvel Rivals has experienced an increase in discoveries on social media platforms, where fans are uncovering alternatives that strengthen their competitive edge. From fine-tuning sensitivity for pinpoint accuracy with characters like Hawkeye to changing audio cues for enhanced battlefield awareness, these settings are transforming casual players into pros.
Some players are even experimenting with hero-specific tweaks — like Spider-Man’s swing mechanics or Luna Snow’s healing precision — and discovering that little changes might spell the difference between a clutch victory and a wipeout. The game’s extensive menu, which is frequently neglected amid the mayhem of team fights, is proving to be highly useful for those prepared to experiment.
Some of the trending discussions suggest boosting visuals for greater FPS or fine-tuning controls to fit console or PC tastes, making each match feel custom-made. As Season 1 brought new heroes such as the Fantastic Four, the community’s attention is going to one setting in particular that is extremely underrated and that’s becoming the key to improving teamwork: the Allied Health Bars.
What is Allied Health Bars setting in Marvel Rivals and how to turn it on?
To improve your collaboration and overall game sense in Marvel Rivals, you must be familiar with the Allied Health Bars setting. This is how you turn it on: head on to Keyboard (or Controller) > Combat > Hero in the Settings menu and turn it on.
The Allied Health Bars setting allows you to control whether or not your teammates’ health bars are displayed on the screen. You can enable it for Duelists (DPS) and Vanguards (tanks), but by default it’s only enabled for Strategists (healers) like Luna Snow. To apply it everywhere, go to the All Heroes page and turn it on. If you want more customization, you may modify it per hero. For example, you can enable it for Iron Man but not Spider-Man.
When activated, allies’ health bars will reveal their current HP above their heads in-game. This is a signal for tanks like Hulk to flank a healer with low health, and for DPS like Hawkeye to pull back and provide support. Healers don’t need to depend on voice comms or guessing to prioritize targets. Understanding who is crucial can define your next move, whether it’s jumping in to rescue a teammate or timing an ultimate.
