CD Projekt Red doesn’t want Keanu Reeves to sing

Keanu Reeves is mostly known for his movies, yes, but like many in Hollywood, he also enjoys dabbling in music from time to time. It doesn't sound like he'll get to do much of that in Cyberpunk 2077, though.

Reeves recently chatted to IGN about the character he plays in the game, Johnny Silverhand. Silverhand fronts a rock band called Samurai in the Cyberpunk world, but that doesn't mean that Reeves is going to be belting out a few tunes in the game.

'No, they don't want me to sing,' Reeves said, when asked if developer CD Projekt Red was going to have the John Wick star perform in Cyberpunk 2077. He explained that CDPR has a real life band recording tracks for the fake game band; he hasn't given hope that he could have some influence on the music, though.

'You know, we have a bit of time, so maybe we’ll see what happens. Maybe the lead singer of the band will let me have some kind of influence in there. We’ll see.' 

Reeves was really into the role, whilst recording lines, quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz said during E3. Tomaszkiewicz has previously stated that Reeves was forever offering ideas for the character of Silverhand, so it's no surprise he wants to get his singing voice in there in some capacity.
