CCP, the developer behind MMOs EVE Online, DUST 514, and World of Darkness, has announced it will be laying off 20 per cent of its staff worldwide.

Most of the layoffs are set to occur in the company’s Atlanta, Georgia office while positions in Reykjavik, Iceland will also be affected.

CCP Manifest explained that between the EVE expansions, DUST, and World of Darkness, CCP has stretched its resources too thin and the company must now “sharpen” its focus. More attention will be put on EVE Online and DUST 514, while World of Darkness will “continue development with a significantly reduced team.”

CCP recently issued an apology over controversial decisions made in the company that left Eve users feeling “estranged“.
