CCP CEO Hilmar Petursson has revealed the developer initially felt the backlash against changes to EVE Online was nothing more than “just some noise in the channel”.
Petursson said to Gamasutra that they now realise it was “something that was really emotionally important, and something that people are really connected with in EVE Online.”
Recently, the CEO apologised to fans for feeling estranged from CCP after plans were leaked about introducing a system where users could pay real-world money for game-altering items, stating “I was wrong“.
