Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be released in the UK on February 28 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, Konami has announced.
The sequel expands upon the acclaimed predecessor from 2010 with players assuming the role of Dracula, who has been resurrected in the present day and charged with defeating a powerful threat as old as time itself.
“So now we come to the conclusion of the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow story,” said Dave Cox, producer on the title and studio head of European Production at Konami Digital Entertainment. “As such, we have gone all-out to create a fitting climax to one of the most warmly-welcomed series resurrections to date. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is bigger, more epic and more challenging – and tells a tale that will live on in video game lore forever.”
In addition, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD will be released digitally for Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 31. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection – featuring the original game and Mirror of Fate HD – will also hit stores on October 31.
Anyone purchasing Mirror of Fate HD or the Lords of Shadow Collection will also be able to access to an exclusive playable demo of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
