Konami has today announced that Castlevania Judgement, a Wii exclusive fighting game developed by legendary Castlevania series producer Koji “Iga” Igarashi, is to be released across Europe early in 2009.

Using the Wii’s motion controls players will slash, stab and whip their way across a variety of 3D locations inspired by previous Castlevania games. The series’ famed Belmont clan will find themselves up against a huge cast of well-known monsters and undead adversaries.

Castlevania Judgement will support Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, enabling players to compete head-to-head in online battles. Additionally, gamers who own Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia on DS will be able to sync the two games and unlock bonus content.

The game is set for release in North America this autumn, with a European release to follow early in 2009.
