Pikmin protagonist Captain Olimar will appear as a playable character in the upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros., Nintendo has revealed.
The little stranded astronaut is the latest Ninty character to join the brawler’s roster, following earlier new additions Villager, Mega Man and Wii Fit Trainer.
Nintendo has yet to go into any real detail on Olimar’s move set, but he appears to be able to call in little Pikmin warriors to help him in battle.

Pikmin 3, the latest game in the cutesy strategy series, goes on sale on July 26, with Super Smash Bros. set to follow next year.
