Project Resistance seems to be the latest entry to the Resident Evil series, as teased by Capcom with an official website and teaser trailer launch date (via Gematsu).

We’ve known that a new Resident Evil title has been in the works for some time now, as Resident Evil Ambassadors in Tokyo, Los Angeles, and New York were invited to playtest an ‘in-development project’ in September. Speculation abounded, and the most logical guesses were that it could be a RE 3 remake or Resident Evil 8. The RE 2 remake was incredibly successful, showing that fans are clamouring for remastered classic titles, but the wheels of Resident Evil 8 were already turning way back in 2017

Project Resistance may be something else entirely. The official website says that the new game will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show 2019 from September 12 to 15. TGS attendees will be able to get their hands on Project Resistance gameplay by advance registration. If you’re patting your pockets and thinking a round trip to Tokyo might not be financially feasible, never fear. A teaser trailer will be published at 4.00pm on September 9, which will shed a little light on what we can expect from Project Resistance.

It is likely we’ll learn a lot more about the new game during the TGS event, but for now, watch this space for future updates.
