Capcom has revealed that it is in talks with Hollywood studios to jointly produce movies based on its many video game properties, reports Bloomberg.

“We are in the process of working out contracts for several offers we received at the Cannes Film Festival last week and hope to make an announcement soon,” said Capcom President Haruhiro Tsujimoto in a Bloomberg Television interview. “If realised, the projects will have a big impact on the game and movie industries.”

Capcom is no stranger to Hollywood. Its Resident Evil franchise has already seen three motion pictures released and a $40 million movie based on Street Fighter is currently in production.

“We want to do with games what Marvel did with comics,” added Tsujimoto.
