The game features five of Capcom’s best puzzlers: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Block Block, and Buster Bros. Collection (Buster Bros, Super Buster Bros and Buster Buddies). Super Puzzle Fighter II will feature two new gameplay modes never before released in Europe: Y mode requires players to group together three blocks or more of the same colour, which break and charge up the Change Gem meter; and Z mode, in which the rules are the same as the classic X mode, but instead of falling blocks, the play field raises and the first player to the top loses.

All the games have been retouched and updated to conform to the PSP’s 16:9 display, and it’ll be the first PSP title to feature a screenshot mode, allowing players to take a snapshot of those winning moments. Players will also be able to import pictures into the game, using them as backgrounds in the Buster Bros. games.

Network play will also be present, allowing for one-on-one games using the PSP’s ad hoc functionality. You can also make use of the PSP’s wireless abilities to rub your greatness into your mate’s face. If you happen to be better at a game than said mate, then make sure he knows by uploading your score to his game.

Capcom Puzzle World is scheduled for a September release across PAL territories.
