Capcom has admitted that it made a mistake with the spelling of Resident Evil: Revelations on the spine of the game’s packaging in the US.

An entire print run will say Resident Evil: Revelaitons on the box’s spine.

“It has come to our attention that there was a misspelling on the Resident Evil Revelations packaging,” said Capcom USA in a statement to Kotaku. “We apologise for the mistake, which will be corrected for subsequent productions of the game.”

Capcom also hinted at plans to provide a correct case sleeve for affected customers. “We are working on a solution to provide affected customers with the correct packaging,” said the publisher.

Capcom might be working on this, but do you think they’re also working to make the Resident Evil 6 logo not look like a lady performing fellatio on a two-legged giraffe?

As for the game, VideoGamer.com awarded a disappointing 6/10 in its Resident Evil: Revelations review.

Resident Evil: Revelations is out in Europe on 3DS today. The US release is February 7.
