Capcom’s community blog has confirmed the UK pre-order bonuses for upcoming fighter Marvel vs Capcom 3.

The leader of the pack is probably Gamestation, which swaps a standard edition for a fancy steelbook featuring artwork by Marvel artists Alvin Lee, Joe Ng and Shinkiro.

Most of the others – Blockbuster, GAME, Gamestop, HMV, TheHUT and Xtravision – get a t-shirt. Each retailer gets their own colour and a variety of prints: Blockbuster’s is yellow, for instance, and shopping at Ireland-based Gamestop gets you a rather fetching light blue.

Pre-ordering from ShopTo gives you a tie-in comic which also features the winners of a recent art competition.

The cheapest price for MvC3 is currently £32.86 over at ShopTo, with most other retailers coming in at £39.99. It’s cheaper still at bee.com – £29.99 – but there’s no sign of a pre-order bonus.

Neon recently went hands-on with MvC3 for VideoGamer.com, calling the game a “wet dream for Capcom and Marvel fans alike, so serious aficionados of both are liable to slip into some form of serotonin overdose.”

Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is released for 360 and PS3 on February 18.

Last year I pre-ordered Super Street Fighter IV from HMV to get a Blanka iPhone case, which broke mere seconds after putting it on my phone. I feel violated. I really like the look of Gamestation’s steelbook case.
