Microsoft has announced that Wild West duo Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and Call of Juarez: The Cartel have joined the company's list of Xbox One backwards compatibility titles.

Developed by Techland, Call of Juarez was pretty much the only decent stab at a western video game before Red Dead Redemption arrived, and Bound in Blood is actually not half bad at all. It's actually set in the Old West for starters, unlike The Cartel, and features two unique characters and some decent combat.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel on the other hand is where things went south. The game doesn't take place in the classic Wild West at all, but rather features a contemporary setting fuelled by cooperative play. It didn't look all that great, and the gameplay was a massive letdown, as you'll see in VideoGamer's verdict at the time.

Anyway, if you've got both games lying around somewhere for Xbox 360, you can just pop them into your Xbox One and start playing. Alternatively, if you own digital versions, just head to the 'Ready to Download' of your console and you're good to go.

I guess it's something to tide you over until Red Dead Redemption 2 arrives, eh?
