Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone are to get some limited-time game modes, bundles and more in a Festive Fervor event kicking off later this week.

First off, Vanguard will see the return of Armageddon Mode where teams must fight for control of a marked area. Care packages will be delivered (presumably from Santa) until a certain amount are nabbed. Then the location moves, and it all starts again. Rack up points via kills, and get bonus points for killstreaks.

Elsewhere, the elusive Elf Team Six will also be hiding around Call of Duty: Vanguard’s multiplayer maps. Take them out for bonus match score and progress towards your kill streak. However, if you’re really unlucky, or otherwise have the worst objective score, Krampus will be deployed to dispense his own brand of justice. Finally, the map Shipment gets a holiday themed makeover and becomes ‘Shipmas’ for the duration of the event.

Call of Duty: Warzone meanwhile will see Christmas trees added to the battle royale’s maps. As well as making the place look festive, squads can find presents near them in the form of supply boxes. However, Krampus has also turned up on this map too, and he’ll be looking to take out players who find coal in these presents.

Treyarch also promise some festive fun in Zombies mode, although they’ve not revealed the details just yet. Regardless, everyone will be able to enjoy free multiplayer access between December 16 and December 21. There’s also loads of deals on bundles and Operators in the in-game store.

The Festive Fervor event takes place in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone from December 17, and you can check full details on the game’s official website.
