Amazon Italy has posted up a listing (via IGN) for an as-yet unannounced remastered edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Â on PS4 and Xbox One.
The retail giant claims the first-person shooter, which was originally released on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 way back in November 2009, will hit stores on April 30 priced around 17 quid. Presumably we can expect a significant visual makeover and all maps to be included in the package, although this remains to be seen.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered wouldn’t exactly be that shocking in this day and age of modern revamps, especially as how publisher Activision previously spruced up the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare back in 2016 as part of Infinite Warfare’s special editions.Â
The publishing powerhouse later launched the critically acclaimed 2007 shooter as a standalone release on PS4 and Xbox One last year, so it’s not hard to imagine they would give the sequel — and potentially the entire Modern Warfare franchise for that matter — a modern overhaul.Â
This year’s Call of Duty game is Black Ops 4 and will launch for PS4, PC, and Xbox One in October.
