Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a new extended gameplay trailer, giving us a look at a watery level. A squad of soldiers alights on a tanker, in the middle of the ocean, looking for a warhead.

It’s tense and exciting stuff. Take a look at the trailer below:

The description reads:

“An oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico is storing the cargo that could spark a global conflict.

Task Force 141 found intel that shows missiles hidden on board and have dispatched a team of Soap, Ghost, and Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas, along with Shadow Company, enter a ship full of well-armed AQ enemies to locate the controls for a missile bound for the US.”

It looks pretty special. The water, in particular, looks ridiculously good, and the action is cracking stuff. There is something irresistible about Call of Duty; there are few studios as adept at the shooter set piece than Infinity Ward, and this is proof.

In other recent Modern Warfare 2 news, the new Warzone 2.0 will launch “soon after” the main game. And the map of that mode has already leaked; it contains lots of water.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is due out on October 28th, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
